A rapidly growing and highly respected professional services firm is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Finance Director to join its leadership team in Southport, CT.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to help shape the financial future of a dynamic, acquisition‑focused organization experiencing significant growth across the Northeast. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Finance will serve as a key business partner responsible for financial strategy, reporting, operational oversight, and growth initiatives.

- Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision‑making
- Evaluate investments across technology, operations, staffing, and acquisitions
- Provide financial guidance related to growth initiatives and operational strategy
- Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and actionable reporting metrics for leadership
- Monitor cash flow, profitability, and overall financial performance
- Deliver insights and recommendations to support executive decision‑making
- Oversee accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage external audit, tax, and accounting relationships
- Improve and scale financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Support operational efficiency across finance functions
- Assist with financial due diligence and acquisition integration efforts
- Support deal modeling, earnouts, and equity‑related analysis
- Partner with leadership on strategic growth initiatives and expansion planning
- 8–12 years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
- Prior leadership experience within finance or accounting functions
- CPA preferred; MBA a plus
- Experience with in financial services, wealth management, or professional services environments highly preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
- Strategic mindset with willingness to remain hands‑on when needed
- Base salary:
Up to $170,000 DOE - Discretionary bonus target around 20%
