ABOUT US

DMHAS is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve.

River Valley Services (RVS), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). RVS’s goal is to provide the highest quality crisis intervention, case management, and residential and clinical services to adult citizens, 18 years of age and older, who suffer from serious mental disorders and who lack the financial means to secure such services in the private sector.

The Assertive Community Treatment team is an evidence based practice that uses a multidisciplinary team treatment approach to deliver highly responsive, individualized recovery-based services to individuals in the community. The Assertive Community Treatment team provides services to persons with serious behavioral health and/or substance use disorders which often interfere with connecting to and following through with treatment. In this role, you will provide support to people with complex behavioral health and/or substance use conditions living independently in the community.

This position provides critical clinical services to these individuals, including much needed individual, group and family clinical services.
