- Lead market engagement strategies prioritizing labor relations education, coaching support, risk mitigation, and leader capability building
- Ensure alignment with Starbucks’ Mission and Values in labor relations activities
- Analyze business and partner experience data to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Cultivate relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor on labor relations matters and proactively minimize risks to the partner experience
- Facilitate strategic guidance and consultation on labor relations issues across retail, support, and PRO teams
- Support partners and leaders throughout retail, manufacturing, and distribution
- Facilitate training courses and lead meetings
- Understanding of labor and human resources related laws and regulations, including the NLRA, Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA, and state/local laws and ordinances
- 3–7 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, and/or Employee Relations
- Demonstrated experience building collaborative and trusting partnerships with union counterparts
- Experience integrating labor relations practices into business operations
- Sound understanding of employee relations practices
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Solid technical business writing skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience solving complex opportunities
- Experience facilitating training courses and leading meetings
- Proficiency with technology and case management systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and project management systems
- Ability to be based in upstate New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, or Rhode Island
Demonstrates expertise in labor relations and human resources, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships and facilitate training while effectively communicating and mitigating risks in labor relations.
