Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and maintain the databases that drive our critical business applications. As a Data Infrastructure Engineer
, you will work closely with various teams to develop scalable, high-performance databases, ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in the full lifecycle of database development and contribute to impactful projects within the organization.
Design and develop relational databases that meet the performance, scalability, and storage needs of business applications.
Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
Ensure database designs adhere to best practices in terms of data modeling, normalization, and indexing.
Data Integration & ETL DevelopmentDevelop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into databases.
Ensure data is cleaned, transformed, and loaded efficiently to meet business requirements.
Assist in managing data flows across different systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
Database Optimization & MaintenanceMonitor, optimize, and tune database performance by improving indexing, query optimization, and resource allocation.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and data migrations.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.
Work closely with application developers, analysts, and system administrators to design databases that support business needs.
Provide technical support for database queries and applications, working closely with teams to resolve any database-related issues.
Collaborate in the planning and implementation of new data-related projects and initiatives.
Documentation & ComplianceDocument database designs, schemas, and data integration processes for future reference and scalability.
Ensure database systems comply with security policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously update database documentation as changes are implemented.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Postgre
SQL, SQL Server).
Strong knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
Experience with ETL processes and data integration tools.
Expertise in query optimization, indexing, and database tuning for high performance.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and keep up with evolving database technologies and best practices.
