What You’ll Do

A typical day as an Associate Underwriter may include:

• Reviewing and analyzing commercial insurance submissions.
• Deciding whether to accept, decline, or modify risks to ensure profitable results.
• Communicating with brokers and building strong relationships.
• Recommending process improvements to management.
• Monitoring producer performance and profitability.
• Assisting in developing new products, forms, and coverages.

Qualifications

A successful candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree expected May 2026 in business, economics, risk management, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and organizational strengths.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Collaborative spirit and entrepreneurial mindset.

A compelling candidate also has:

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V‑Lookups).
• Ability to manage high volume with precision.
