Harrington, Ocko & Monk, LLP is a sophisticated regional law firm conveniently located in White Plains, New York, with offices located within walking distance to Metro-North Train Station.

We are currently seeking an Associate to join our growing insurance defense practice group.

Specific experience should be in general liability defense litigation, including construction accidents, property damage premises liability. Experience with Construction Liability/Labor Law, not-for-profits and/or Child Victim Act cases is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, and under the direction of our senior associates or partner, be responsible for covering court appearances, drafting motions, preparing, and responding to discovery demands, reviewing and analyzing medical records, drafting reports, and other tasks as assigned. Experience taking and/or defending depositions is a plus.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New York State Bar
• 3+ years of experience in general liability defense litigation from inception through trial
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills

Salary is based on experience:
Junior Associate generally ranges from $95,000 – $135,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on experience, skills and other job-related factors permitted by law.)
