The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Digital Communications Specialist. This position is responsible for researching, planning, producing, and publishing engaging and informative content designed for use across various university channels, including but not limited to the university website, newsletters, emails, social media, and printed materials. This position applies creativity and storytelling skills to help tell the University’s story, generate awareness, nurture enrollment, and advance fundamental brand messages.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English, or a closely-related field is required; one year of experience in journalism, digital communication, marketing, social media, or related field is preferred; experience with SEO and key wording concepts is preferred; experience with Word Press or other content management systems is preferred; and experience with Slate or other CRM is preferred.
