Shift: Mon-Fri. Hartford Health Care, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient care to MS patients and General Neurology at the established and growing Multiple Sclerosis Center located in Fairfield, CT.

The Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford Health Care is a rapidly expanding institute focused on comprehensive patient care, academics, and research. The Institute benefits from the resources of a system committed to excellence in patient quality and experience and an experienced neuroscience leadership team.

• The advanced practitioner provides comprehensive, quality-based care for patients with nervous system and immunology diseases, primarily Multiple Sclerosis, and may include other neuroimmunology diseases and General Neurology through participating in medical management to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease, and reduce risk of illness.
• Assist in program development and potential future research opportunities.
• Be part of a robust MS-dedicated team including MAs, Administrative Assistants, Nurses, and Social Workers.
• Monday through Friday with no call.
• Monthly programmatic team meetings and potential involvement in future clinical trials.

• Eligibility to be licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.
• 1 year of experience practicing as an APP is required, or 2 years of RN experience within MS or neurology for New Grad Nurse Practitioners.
• MS or neurology experience is highly preferred.
