Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Primary Care
Location: Fairfield, Connecticut

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $45.00/hour
Position Overview
J. Morrissey is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary contract opportunity with a busy outpatient primary care practice in Fairfield, CT. This role is ideal for a compassionate and organized nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient primary care setting
- Conduct patient assessments, collect health histories, and document findings
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other nursing interventions as ordered
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and wellness initiatives
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
- Active and unrestricted Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinic RN or in an outpatient ambulatory care setting
- Experience in primary care strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Competitive starting pay of $45/hour
