Lead and support implementation of quality and food safety programs throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with SQF standards and regulatory requirements while championing a culture of food safety and quality. Serve as the SQF Practitioner and PCQI leader for the facility. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Post Consumer Brands values.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Quality Manager to plan and implement food safety and quality procedures that meet customer expectations.
- Lead and conduct all internal audits to ensure compliance with SQF and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and enhance food safety and quality management systems.
- Manage and execute traceability systems.
- Provide back-up support to Quality department functions as needed.
- Perform additional tasks to support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; relative experience would be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance; food processing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SQF, PCQI, and current quality systems.
- Technical skills:
Statistical analysis, audit management. - Soft Skills;
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities; proven ability to influence without direct authority. - Ability to lead multi-site projects and drive data-driven decisions.
- Primarily on-site work;
Travel requirements less than 10%
Operates within guidelines set by the Quality Manager while still exercising autonomy. Responsible for ensuring production of safe, high-quality foods through food safety systems and continuous improvement. Lead cross-functional food safety and quality initiatives.
