District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home;
Produce Department Manager;
Assistant Produce Department Manager. Positions that Report to you:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, learning customers’ names and addressing them by name whenever possible.
  • Assist customers including escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
  • Work with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
  • Use proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and neat.
  • Review the status and appearance of merchandise for freshness and replenish and rotate product as required.
  • Ensure an adequate product supply is ready and on hand, develop or follow a production list, and anticipate product needs for the department daily.
  • Check in product, put product away, review invoices, remove trash in a timely manner, and prepare, finish, and replenish product as necessary.
  • Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress, and adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Order product and supplies as necessary.
  • Price products for customers when required.
  • Deliver orders as needed.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as required.
  • Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics

Must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables. Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copy figures, count, and record. Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.

Education and Experience

Less than high school or equivalent experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to physically perform medium work: exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision.

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

This position is frequently exposed to temperature extremes and dampness. Possible equipment movement hazards, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. This is a fast‑paced work environment.

Equipment Used to Perform Job

Knives, wrapping machine, cash register, pallet jack, garbage disposal, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, and calculator.
