Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Hourly pay: $17.00 to $19.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom.
- Part‑time employees can receive voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours: 8‑10 hours per week.
- Required availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Required availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory inside and outside the department; communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, answer surveys; interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
- Holiday support: during holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) provide additional days and extended hours, and may work on the holiday itself.
- Department resets: support installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, resetting card sections; notified two weeks in advance, may involve evenings or weekends.
- Team support: participate in Hallmark field network, support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
This physically demanding role requires a high level of energy and sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the day.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Can operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
- Has Wi‑Fi access and internet access.
- Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
