The firm is a middle‑market investment bank specializing in sell‑side M&A advisory services exclusively for family‑owned and founder‑led businesses pursuing their once‑in‑a‑lifetime transaction. Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven Part‑Time Head of
Business Development & Marketing to spearhead the firm's growth and market presence. In this hybrid role, you will identify high‑potential prospects, nurture client relationships, and elevate our client's market visibility. This is a highly visible, strategic role perfect for an ambitious professional looking for flexibility.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and qualify actionable sales leads, mainly family‑held or founder‑led businesses potentially looking to sell their businesses in the following industries: manufacturing, food and beverage, HVAC, consumer products and specialized services.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential clients in the firm's CRM system at all stages, including cold reach‑outs, meet‑up invitations, and follow‑ups.
  • Identify and manage quality referral relationships in the professional services advising family business owners (lawyers, accountants and wealth managers).
  • Create metrics, coordinate and hold Managing Directors accountable for personal outreach campaigns, introductory meetings, and pitch calls.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
  • Oversee and review the refresh and updated design templates for pitch books, quarterly newsletters, and client outreach communications.
  • Assist in managing the firm’s corporate Linked In profile with regular posts and updated materials and messaging.
Event & Networking Management
  • Identify relevant industry or trade conferences and coordinate sponsor ships, attendance, and/or speaking engagements for the MDs.
  • Research, plan and execute attendance, speaking engagements, leadership opportunities, and formal or casual meetings at targeted conferences, networking events, webinars, and roadshows, and design follow‑up metrics and plans for the MDs.
  • Support conference and event preparation, including speaker materials and meeting logistics.
Administrative & Coordination Support
  • Coordinate calendars related to business development and marketing activities.
  • Schedule and manage internal and external meetings, including video and conference calls.
  • Provide ad hoc support for business development and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting business development activities with clients and/or referral partners (e.g., accounting, legal, or advisory professionals)
  • 5+ years of B2B business development or marketing experience, preferably in investment banking or financial services.
  • Proven track record of generating leads and supporting deal origination, preferably within manufacturing, food and beverage, HVAC, consumer and specialized services.
  • Proficiency with CRM management
  • Proficiency with design/marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex financial concepts into compelling marketing narratives.
What We Offer
  • Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 per year plus bonus, no benefits.
  • Flexibility: Approximately 20 hours per week with a hybrid work environment. Days and hours may be arranged in coordination with leadership, provided business needs and key deadlines are met.
  • Growth: This role will grow to a full time role as the firm grows. Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and gain exposure to high‑stakes corporate finance transactions.
