Position Summary:
The MVS Outreach Assistant will support the outreach efforts of the Maharishi Vedic Science (MVS) department through content creation and digital engagement. This role includes managing social media accounts, posting content, video editing, You Tube account management, podcast production, conducting interviews, and collaborating with students to showcase their projects. By promoting faculty talks, publications, and student projects, this position will enhance the department's visibility and foster greater engagement within the MIU community and beyond.

* Digital Media & Content Creation:
Develop technical skills in social media management, video editing, podcast production, and branding while contributing to the department's outreach efforts.

Job Responsibilities:
* Assist an outreach coordinator and social media manager in creative direction, social media posting, podcast editing, and content creation.
* Manage and schedule posts on social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement for faculty talks, student projects, and academic activities.
* Edit and produce videos for You Tube and other digital platforms, contributing to the department's online presence.
* Support podcast production, including recording, editing, and publishing episodes to promote MVS research and discussions.
* Conduct interviews and collaborate with students to highlight academic and creative projects.
Job Qualifications:
* Strong Communication Skills - Ability to write, speak, and engage effectively with an audience.
* Social Media Experience - Familiarity with managing and creating content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and You Tube.
* Video Editing & Production (Preferred) - Basic knowledge of video editing tools is a plus but not required.
* Graphic Design (Preferred)
- Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Suite is a bonus.
