Role DescriptionThe Autocad Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Fairfield, IA. This position is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom flooring and architectural window projects using CAD software. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural plans, creating accurate construction documents, updating drawings based on design changes, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and production teams. The drafter will ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications, building standards, and company guidelines, and will assist in resolving design and layout issues to support smooth fabrication and installation.
Qualifications- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for construction and fabrication purposes.
- Experience creating and revising Shop Drawings for custom building components.
- Proficiency in Architectural Drawings and an understanding of Architecture concepts and building design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and familiarity with industry drafting standards.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, architects, and production staff.
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, architectural products, or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
