Federal Work-Study Audiovisual & Live-Stream Technician
The FWS Audiovisual & Live-Stream Technician will be responsible for administering and managing student activities' audiovisual elements during in-person and live-streamed events, including karaoke, parties, movie nights, presentations and student club activities.
This role is ideal for students interested in computer software, audio production, video production, event organizing and design of live experiences.
A broad understanding of audiovisual systems related to live events
Practical experience in audio mixing and camera setup
Development of communication, creativity, time management, and teamwork skills
Experience with live systems and managing risk
1. Set up and run audiovisual capabilities (mics/speakers/cameras/etc.) during student activities events
2. Monitor the stability and effectiveness of these audiovisual elements
3. Develop personal processes related to audiovisual setup and teardown for events
4. Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning of AV systems
5. Engage and respond to live-stream viewers in the chat
Capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
Capable of understanding and troubleshooting electronic systems
Interested in live events/streaming, or open to being trained in these fields
Reliable, punctual, and organized
Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
