As an associate at Edward Jones you will partner with clients to help them achieve long‑term financial goals, build relationships through both in‑person and virtual strategies, and lead the branch team to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build client relationships using face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies such as residential, business, networking, referrals, social media, and speaking engagements.
  • Deeply understand clients’ needs and create personalized, comprehensive financial strategies.
  • Oversee branch processes and ensure high‑quality, streamlined client experience in compliance with firm policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Engage the branch team to develop, monitor, and adjust the business plan to improve effectiveness and achieve results.
  • Create an engaging environment of trust, respect, feedback, and accountability within the branch.
Candidate Characteristics
  • Interest in financial services and markets.

  • Strong skills in long‑term relationship building.
  • Comfortable with critical thinking and decision‑making.
  • Motivation to explore new opportunities and grow a practice.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • Financial services and/or sales experience.
  • Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
  • Professional or military career progression.
Licensing Requirements
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 registrations required; study support provided if not yet registered.
  • FINRA registrations must be completed within three months; state insurance licenses required.
  • Ongoing training and continuing education to maintain licenses and regulatory compliance.

Compensation

New advisors receive trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and asset‑based compensation during the growth phase. Supplemental starting salary ranges from $45,000 to $100,000.
