Position OverviewAs a Police Officer with the Fairfield Police Department, you will perform a wide variety of law enforcement duties including patrol, crime prevention, investigation, traffic enforcement, and community policing.
Residency RequirementOfficers must reside within 30 minutes of Fairfield. This policy offers flexibility while ensuring timely response capability.
Minimum Qualifications- ILEA Certified
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation
