Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The PTA will assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, supporting their recovery and functional goals. Full-time and per diem positions are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing resident treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions such as mobility exercises, strengthening, balance training, and gait activities.
Monitor and document resident progress, reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Educate residents and families on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Iowa.
Experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation setting preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and as part of a team.
CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours (flexibility may be required).Per Diem:
Flexible scheduling based on facility needs.
