• Plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs
• Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, recognize changes, and report to the medical team
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Document care accurately; maintain infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Maintain professional nursing standards and engage in ongoing competencies as part of the Med Surg team

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license; graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BLS and ACLS required through the American Heart Association
• Experience in Med Surg is preferred but not required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends/holidays; guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Must meet employment and health requirements prior to start, including verification of licensure, references, immunizations, drug screening, and background checks
