- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- NIHSS certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians and monitor responses
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for postoperative recovery
- Document patient information, vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing based on acuity
- Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordination to ensure transition to home
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- English reading, writing, and communication proficiency
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
- PC skills
- Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with varied personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
- Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting procedures, use equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without assistance, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration to detail
