• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

• NIHSS certification
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians and monitor responses
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for postoperative recovery
• Document patient information, vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing based on acuity
• Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordination to ensure transition to home
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• English reading, writing, and communication proficiency
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
• PC skills
• Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
• Interpersonal skills: work effectively with varied personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
• Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting procedures, use equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without assistance, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration to detail
