• Deliver total patient care for Med Surg patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor and respond to changes in patient status; document effectively.
• Direct and guide patient teaching, discharge planning, and education for patients and families.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and supervise ancillary personnel to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate records, advocate for patient safety, and comply with professional standards and facility policies.
• Contribute to care planning and collaborate to ensure smooth transitions of care across shifts.

• Current Iowa RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Immunizations per policy: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap; annual flu vaccine; TB testing (2-step Mantoux or QuantiFERON Gold) with appropriate documentation or chest X‑ray if positive; current physical; 10-panel drug screen.
• Experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts in a hospital setting and rotate weekends/holidays as needed.
