• Provide total patient care in the ER using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and/or coordinate patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel; maintain professional nursing standards.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation, adherence to policies, and infection control practices; uphold patient safety and confidentiality.

• Active Iowa RN license in good standing
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• ER nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work the listed schedule and in a Critical Access Hospital ER; ability to meet health and credentialing requirements

• Immunizations: MMR, Varicella (titer or vaccination as appropriate), Polio, Hepatitis B (series or titer), TDaP, and annual flu vaccination
• TB testing: 2-step TB within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold with chest x-ray if positive
• Physical examination within 1 year; 10-panel drug screen within 1 month
• Respiratory Fit Test (available through client if needed)
• Comprehensive background checks and clearances per policy (including criminal background, OIG, SAM.gov where applicable, and mandatory reporter training)
• Documentation of licensure, certifications, and health items prior to start date
