The Electricianisaskilledtradepositionresponsiblefortheinstallation,wiring,andconnectionofelectricalsystemson

Thisroleisprimarilydedicatedtocommunitysolarinstallations,withoccasionalassignmentssupportingcommercialandindustrial(C&I) orresidentialsolarprojectsasbusinessneedsrequire.

The Electricianperformsbothself-directedandsupervisedelectricalworkinaccordancewiththe

National Electrical Code (NEC),statelicensingrequirements,andIdeal

Energysafetyandqualitystandards,includingDCarraywiring,combinerandinverterconnections,AC interconnection,and grounding/bonding systems.

Thisroleworkscloselywiththe Senior Lead Electrician ,Warehouse,Inventory and Procurement Manager ,the Project

Management team,andthefieldstafftoensureelectricalscopesarecompletedsafely,onschedule,andtocode.

Electriciansmayalsoprovidetechnicalguidanceandon-the-jobtrainingto

Electrician Apprentice sand Laborersassignedtotheircrew .Thisrolerequiresasignificantamountoftravel—uptoapproximately
80% ofthetime—tojobsitesacross

Illinois,including multi-dayassignmentstoruralandremoteprojectsites.

• Install,terminate,andtroubleshootDCandACelectricalsystemsforground-mountandrooftopsolarPVarrays,primarilyoncommunitysolarprojects
• Performmodulestringwiring,combinerboxandrecombinerinstallation,inverter connections,andACinterconnectiontothepointofutilityinterconnection
• Installgroundingandbondingsystems,conduit runs,cabletray,andwiremanagementinaccordancewithapprovedelectricaldrawings
• Supportoccasionalelectricalscopesoncommercial,industrial,orresidentialsolarprojectsasassigned

• Performallworkinaccordancewiththe National Electrical Code (NEC),local amendments,and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
• Readandinterpretelectricalschematics,single-line diagrams,panel schedules,andsiteplanstoensureaccurateinstallation
• Completeworktopasselectricalinspectionsonfirstsubmission;correctanydeficienciesidentifiedduringinspectionorQA/QCreview
• Maintainaccurateas-builtdocumentationofelectricalinstallations

• ComplywithallOSHAregulations,Ideal Energysafetypolicies,andsite-specificsafetyrequirementsatalltimes
• Identifyandimmediatelyreportunsafeconditions,near misses,orcodeviolations
• Useallrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE) andfollowlockout/tagoutandarc-flashproceduresforenergizedwork
• Worksafelyatheights,inconfinedspaces,andinvaryingweatherconditionstypicalofoutdoorconstruction sites

• Collaborate with Construction Managers ,Superintendents,andcrewmemberstosequenceelectricalworkwithintheoverallprojectschedule
• Provideon-the-jobguidanceandmentorshipto

• Maintaindailylogsofworkperformed,materials used,andanyfieldissuesencountered

• Active Electricianlicenseissuedbythe Stateof Iowa ,oranactiveelectricianlicensefromanotherstaterecognizedthroughreciprocitywiththe

• 3+yearsofhands-onelectricalinstallationexperience;solar/renewableenergyexperiencestronglypreferred
• Workingknowledgeofthe National Electrical Code (NEC) andapplicableOSHAsafetystandards
• Abilitytoreadandinterpreteelectricalschematics,single-line diagrams,andsiteplans
• ExperiencewithPV-specificelectricalwork,includingDCwiring,string sizing,combiner boxes,inverters,andACinterconnection
• Abilitytoperformphysicallabor,includingliftingupto
  50lbs,climbing ladders,workingatheights,and standing/walkingforextendedperiods
• Valid driver'slicenseandreliabletransportationtojobsitesacross

• Abilitytotraveluptoapproximately
