We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role will support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain general ledger activity
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking
- Help maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
- Participate in financial reporting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation
- Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, or similar)
