Corporate Accounting / Cost Accounting Manager (MD)
Well-established supplement manufacturer seeks a CPA to lead a newly created hybrid role combining strategic accounting, cost management, and pricing oversight, with a clear growth path to Controller.
Location:
Fairfield, NJ (hybrid).
- Maintain product costing (materials, labor, overhead) and analyze manufacturing variances to improve profitability.
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and excess/obsolete reporting.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes and financial statement reviews.
- Prepare GL entries, account reconciliations, and budget development.
- Supervise staff accountant and own pricing/quoting functions.
- Monitor internal controls and assist with audits.
- CPA and Accounting degree required.
- 2+ years general accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and prior supervisory experience.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
