What you will do:

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individual, corporate, and partnership clients
• Lead tax research projects to resolve compliance questions and uncover planning opportunities
• Reduce client tax liability through proactive identification of savings strategies and credits
• Serve as the day-to-day client contact: gather financials, set timelines, and communicate results clearly
• Review and coach junior staff work product, providing real-time feedback to build team capacity
• Ensure all filings meet current federal and state regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
• Collaborate with partners on complex planning engagements and special projects

What you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related business field
• 3+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm
• Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward licensure (e.g., parts passed)
• Strong technical knowledge of individual (1040), corporate (1120/S), and partnership (1065) taxation
• Proficiency with professional tax preparation and research software

Nice to have:

• Experience with state and local tax (SALT) nexus analysis
• Exposure to trust and estate returns (1041)
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff associates

Pay and benefits:

• Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year (based on experience and credential status)
