Job Description

Employment Type: Contract – 6 months to start with potential to convert to Full Time.

Location: Fairfield, NJ (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Industry: Consumer Products & Beauty

Pay: $25/hr

Overview

The Inventory Analyst supports inventory accuracy and control across multiple domestic and international third party logistics (3PL) locations for a fast growing consumer products and beauty company. This role partners with order management, transportation, production and supply planning, accounting, and external logistics providers to maintain reliable, compliant inventory records and support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update inventory systems for multiple U.S. and international warehouse locations.
  • Support month end close with inventory reconciliations and reporting, coordinating with accounting as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
  • Track and monitor all QA and regulatory inventory holds, ensuring visibility and timely resolution.
  • Perform daily reconciliations, research variances, and process approved adjustments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist with inventory aging analysis and partner with distribution centers, Quality Assurance, Order Management, and Sales to reduce write offs and improve inventory health.
  • Coordinate destruction, damages, donations, and other non saleable inventory dispositions in line with policy.
  • Work with 3PL partners to monitor performance and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in inventory, operations, or supply chain preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and WMS platforms; exposure to Net Suite or SAP is a plus.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; solid proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles and SOX compliant processes.
