Location: Fairfield, NJ (Full In-Office)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Project Coordinator for our client in Fairfield, NJ. In this role, you will act as the vital link between their overseas vendors and US-based customers. You will manage the technical logistics of product setup, track project milestones from artwork to shipping, and ensure that every deadline is met with precision.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong "continuous improvement" mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- International Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between overseas vendors and US customers.
- Data & Logistics Management: Ensure all items are set up correctly, including costs, technical specs, custom duties/tariffs, and container quantities.
- Project Tracking: Coordinate with team members to ensure all deadlines are hit for artwork approvals, sample approvals, and final shipping.
- Administrative Accuracy: Generate essential documentation including quotations, Purchase Orders (POs), and Sales Orders (SOs).
- Product Expertise: Proactively learn category-specific product knowledge regarding quality standards and technical specifications.
- Collaboration: Lead and participate in weekly meetings with overseas vendors and maintain strong working relationships across all internal departments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point is required. Knowledge of MS Project or Microsoft Teams is a significant plus.
- Analytical Ability: Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills are essential for managing tariffs and quantities.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of management.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in international import or trade is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail. You should be a trustworthy self-motivator who values being a dedicated team player.
