Role Description

The Salon Coordinator is a full-time or part-time position, on-site based in Fairfield, NJ
. House of Mieux is seeking a polished, warm, and highly organized Salon Coordinator to serve as the central point of connection between our guests, stylists, and daily salon operations.

As the first and last point of contact for every guest, the Salon Coordinator plays an essential role in creating the elevated, thoughtful experience that defines The House of Mieux. This position goes beyond traditional reception responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a natural host, an exceptional communicator, and someone who takes pride in keeping a fast‑paced environment organized, welcoming, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a warm, polished, and seamless guest experience from arrival through departure
  • Manage check‑in, check‑out, phone calls, messages, and appointment scheduling
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles and coordinate schedules, waitlists, cancellations, and last‑minute openings
  • Develop strong knowledge of salon services, pricing, stylist specialties, and retail products
  • Support retail sales, inventory tracking, deliveries, and organization of products and supplies
  • Maintain elevated front‑of‑house standards across reception, retail, waiting, and hospitality areas
  • Process transactions accurately through Phorest POS
  • Communicate effectively with guests, stylists, assistants, and management to support smooth daily operations
  • Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions‑oriented approach
  • Support promotions, events, reporting, and other salon initiatives as needed
