Chief Concrete​/Masonry Estimator

SOLID operates mainly in the NYC and New Jersey commercial construction markets, specializing in the Construction phase of projects. This is a full-time, on-site Chief Concrete/Masonry Estimator role based in Fairfield, NJ. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for concrete and masonry projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing blueprints, evaluating specifications, assessing material and labor costs, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, and producing accurate project cost proposals. Collaboration with project teams will also be required to meet client and company expectations.

• Expertise in Formwork and Flatwork
• Strong knowledge of Ready Mix Concrete and Heavy Equipment
• Experience in Carpentry and its applications in masonry
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with project management software and estimating tools is a plus
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred of minimum 10 years experience
• Previous experience in concrete and masonry estimation is required
