Assist the Project Superintendent with daily on-site construction operations and field execution. Schedule Management:
Monitor daily construction progress and assist with short-interval planning and look-ahead schedules. Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, field photos, and progress records. Safety Compliance:
Assist in enforcing project safety standards and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections. Quality Control:
Support quality control efforts, inspections, punch list management, and project closeout activities. Team Leadership:
Communicate field conditions, potential issues, schedule impacts, and progress updates to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Profile 3-5 years of field experience on public-sector construction projects required. Experience working on ground-up public works projects strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination. Carpentry or masonry experience is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with New Jersey public-sector construction requirements and prevailing wage standards is a plus. Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a project team while maintaining a proactive, hands-on approach in the field. OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
