Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
Start Date: Mid-August 2026 (to allow for onboarding and classroom preparation)
Pay Range: $19 to $22 per hour

The Goddard School of Fairfield is seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Pre‑K Teacher to join our award‑winning team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who loves fostering curiosity, building meaningful relationships with families, and creating engaging learning experiences that prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten.

At The Goddard School of Fairfield, we believe children learn best through exploration, inquiry, play, and hands‑on experiences. Our teachers are not expected to follow a script—they are encouraged to bring their creativity, talents, and enthusiasm into the classroom while utilizing Goddard’s Wonder of Learning® curriculum.

• Has experience working with Pre‑K‑aged children
• Understands how to prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten
• Creates engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that spark curiosity and wonder
• Builds strong partnerships with families through consistent and meaningful communication
• Maintains a positive, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
• Collaborates effectively with co‑teachers, specialists, and school leadership
• Believes learning should be fun, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate

• Plan and implement engaging lessons using Goddard’s Wonder of Learning® curriculum
• Foster kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, science, social‑emotional learning, and problem‑solving experiences
• Create a classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning
• Document children’s growth and learning through observations and portfolios
• Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities, milestones, and student progress
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership team members to ensure a high‑quality educational experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred or current CDA
• Previous experience teaching Pre‑K‑aged children required
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood education and child-centered learning
