Our client
is looking for reliable and flexible
Part-Time and On-Call Substitute Teachers
to join their premier preschools in
Hoboken, Harrison, Lyndhurst, Paramus, Parsippany, and East Hanover
to provide classroom support on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with students 6 weeks - 5 years of age, as well as be comfortable diapering and toilet training.

  • This is a Direct Hire position with the school
  • Classified as part-time (per diem and on an as-needed basis);
    Monday - Friday; year-round employment
  • Advantage for candidates willing to be assigned to multiple locations
  • Scheduled based on school coverage needs
  • Hours vary weekly; not guaranteed

Salary
  • $17.00 - $20.00/hour
    pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children
  • Follow and implement the Lead Teacher's prepared lesson plans, routines, and classroom expectations to ensure consistency in the children's daily experience
  • Supervise, guide, and positively engage children in learning activities, play experiences, and transitions throughout the day
  • Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization while supporting established procedures and expectations
  • Observe children closely and attend to their individual needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times
  • Document and communicate any notable incidents, concerns, or important information to the Lead Teacher and administrative staff
  • Collaborate effectively with other teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive classroom environment
  • Adapt to different age groups, classroom settings, and teaching styles, and participate in required trainings to stay aligned with early childhood education standards and center policies
Qualifications
  • REQUIRED Age:must be at least
    18 years of age
  • REQUIRED

    Education:

    High School Diploma/equivalent
  • PREFERRED Experience:Experience working with children 5-years-old and younger in some capacity - babysitting and nannying experience OK!!!
  • Must
    be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Must
    meet background check eligibility
