Senior Property Accountant - Real Estate Financial Steward

Responsibilities

• Assist in the set-up of new managed properties in Finance & Accounting Systems including all buildings, suites, tenants, accounts payable cash accounts, alternate chart of accounts, additional information, basis, project hierarchy, etc. as directed by the Controller.
• Import Property Budgets into Finance & Accounting Systems for comparative reporting.
• Preparation of property monthly financial reports using Finance & Accounting Systems, MS Word and MS Excel software for partners, Company and Lenders including variance analysis, accrual entries, calculation of depreciation and amortization, account analysis and preparation of other required supporting schedules.
• Maintain detailed MS Excel capital account sub-ledgers for managed properties.
• Assist with calculation of monthly and quarterly distributions and capital calls to property investors in accordance with partnership agreements. This includes all worksheets prepared for the Asset Manager approval.
• Assist with preparation of year‑end operating expense and real estate tax reimbursement reconciliations.
