Overview
The Supply Chain Manager will negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long‑term contracts with suppliers and prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer‑related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines.
Role SummaryThis role will manage professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex support, production or operations team(s). It has accountability for the performance and results of a team within its discipline or function, adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, and makes decisions guided by policies, procedures and the business plan. The manager receives guidance from senior management and provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
Responsibilities- Negotiate price and incoterm with raw materials and packaging with local suppliers.
- Manage the MRP process to ensure the best manufacturing schedule for Seppic Inc., Richmond in accordance with sales forecast and stock level targets.
- Purchase non‑stored goods in coordination with Air Liquide’s corporate purchasing team.
- Organize procurement activities to include raw materials, packaging, etc.
- Ensure management of Seppic Inc., Richmond stock (raw‑material receipt and transfer to manufacturing line, finished‑product stock management).
- Organize the shipping of customer orders (worldwide).
- Manage all procurement needs for the Polykon plant.
- Manage the Procurement and Supply Chain team.
- Ensure ERP systems have appropriate parameters in place.
- Maintain a good level of MRP analysis (plantification activities) for Seppic Inc., Richmond.
- Control that procurement activities are executed as required.
- Ensure good handling of products in the Polykon warehouse and in external warehouses in accordance with safety rules and GMP.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) each month with the corporate team in Seppic.
- Make decisions concerning slow raw materials or packaging stock.
- Negotiate claims treatment with suppliers.
- Manage the claim process with suppliers.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics and ERP principles.
- A good knowledge of best practice in supply chain and procurement.
- Management experience of diverse teams.
- Manufacturing experience of 5+ years.
- Fluent French is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and within teams.
- Good distribution practices (EFFCI and FDA).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
