Responsibilities
  • Perform installation at customer location (electrical and mechanical) of Pace automated unscrambling machinery.
  • Perform in-factory startup/commissioning of Pace machinery at customer location. Troubleshoot and adjust to achieve machine efficiency rates per the contract. Train plant personnel as required.
  • Perform in-factory repair/servicing of Pace machinery at customer location. Troubleshoot inefficiencies, perform audits, install upgrades, and provide follow-up operator training.
  • Generate detailed service reports.
  • Engage with customers in pursuit of aftermarket sales opportunities including machine upgrades or retrofits, additional service opportunities, and recommendations on stocked spare parts.
  • Set up and testing of variable frequency drives and servo controllers.
  • Build, set up, and perform factory acceptance testing on new equipment at the manufacturing facility.
  • Provide support in the shop as an assembler during periods without field assignments.
  • Work flexibly between field and shop operations, assisting with assembly tasks in the shop when not performing field duties.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma; associate's degree in a related technical field (mechanical and electrical) preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background with experience in start-up, repair, and maintenance of custom machinery.
  • Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering designs, including wiring schematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for technical reports and training requirements.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independent judgment.
  • Ability to conduct high-level training for customer personnel on equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain a positive attitude, and work well with all levels of management and operators.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, domestically and internationally. Non-travel time spent in the plant.
