You start your shift in our Assembly & Test Department at the Daniel Road location, reviewing drawings and specs. You’ll build chambers and final assemblies, install and remove Helicoils as needed, resolve fit and finish issues on the fly, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to meet exacting customer standards. Before sign-off, you verify that assembly, finishing, and testing requirements have all been met and perform a meticulous final clean to customer procedures.
What you will do Install and remove Helicoils accurately and efficiently.
Fit and assemble mechanical components into chambers and other final assemblies for test.
Troubleshoot build problems and drive corrective actions.
Perform final cleaning operations to customer standards and procedures.
Inspect in-process work for conformance; flag and report any damage found.
Confirm all build, finish, and test criteria are complete prior to product sign-off.
Partner closely with engineering, production, and quality to achieve customer quality expectations.
Minimum profile
Education
High School Diploma or GED Experience and skills
Hands-on mechanical background with cars, trucks, small engines, and/or body work.
3–5 years in mechanical assembly is a plus.
Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications to determine product and quality needs.
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Core competencies

Comfortable communicating in English; capable of reading technical procedures, industry publications, and regulations; can write reports, correspondence, and procedures; able to present information and address questions from supervisors, managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematics Apply probability and statistical inference; work with plane and solid geometry and basic trigonometry; use fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in real-world calculations.
Reasoning Define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions; interpret a wide range of written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions; manage both abstract and concrete variables.
Physical expectations
Regularly reach with hands/arms; talk and hear; stand, walk, sit; and use hands/fingers to handle or feel.
Frequently stand and work; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision: close focus, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment
Typically moderate noise; at times, loud.
Must-haves
Fundamental mechanical aptitude.
Proficient with hand tools.
Basic ability to read a blueprint.
Motivated, dependable, and accountable.
