Insight Global is seeking an E&L Supervisor to support an analytical testing laboratory supporting clients with regulated testing. This individual will oversee laboratory staff performing extractables and leachable (E&L) testing, manage daily operations including sample and project scheduling, and support report writing while maintaining technical capabilities. Acting as a hands‑on technical lead, they will guide the team in analytical methods and data analysis, operate and maintain instrumentation such as GC-MS, UPLC-MS, and/or ICP-MS, and ensure all work is documented in accordance with cGMP.
This role will also involve client communication regarding project timelines or issues, as well as representing the organization at technical conferences.
- A Bachelor’s (minimum) or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline, preferably analytical chemistry, along with 3–5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in FDA-regulated laboratory environments (GMP/GLP/GDP).
- 5–10 years of hands‑on Extractable and Leachables (E&L) project experience, including study design, structure elucidation, and analytical method development and validation, supported by strong expertise in identifying unknown compounds using UPLC-MS and GC-MS.
- Demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, including GC‑MS (preferred), UPLC‑MS, and/or ICP‑MS, with at least five years of hands‑on use.
- 1‑year minimum protocol and report writing experience. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with the ability to lead and develop a team in a regulated laboratory environment.
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Prior experience working within a contract laboratory or CRO environment.
