Starting Pay Range: $21+/hr (Depending on experience)
Responsibilities- Safely, accurately and efficiently load and unload products
- Verify products received from suppliers against packing lists
- Store products in the appropriate category shelves
- Accurately pick products based on computer‑generated pick tickets
- Determine the best method of packing products to ensure adequate protection during transit
- Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to select the best shipping mode and freight carrier, ensuring customers receive products with the shortest lead time and the lowest transportation cost
- Use the ERP system (Epicor‑Prelude) to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity
- Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies
- Make recommendations to improve processes and work environment
- Participate in large projects such as out‑of‑town warehouse expansions and physical inventory
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift experience or ability to be trained and certified to operate a forklift
- Prior warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience preferred
- Data entry experience preferred
- Outlook email proficiency preferred
- Clearly and effectively communicate via email and telephone shipping related information to customers, vendors, and co‑workers
- Organize and prioritize work orders to meet shipping deadlines
- Audit work to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping orders, paying close attention to detail
- Identify potential delays and provide effective and timely resolution or contingency plans
- Work independently with limited supervision; self‑starter
- Vendor management (preferred)
- Picking and filling orders (preferred)
- Organizational skills (preferred)
- MS Office software (preferred)
- Lift 50 lbs repeatedly (preferred)
- Computer skills (preferred)
Billing and shipping (preferred)
- Constantly exert 10 pounds of force to move objects
- Frequently exert up to 50 pounds of force, occasionally up to 70 pounds
- Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking frequently
- Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity
