The On-Site Supervisor is responsible for leading teammates and laborers to complete the overall construction of onsite booths in an efficient and timely manner.

Relationships

Reports to Production & Logistics Manager and Chief Production Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Leads staff in completing the overall construction and preset of onsite projects, in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Acquires materials for proper construction of exhibits
  • Resolves onsite issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Packs and crates all exhibits to ensure a safe arrival of all inventory and client owned materials.
  • Logs hours and information pertaining to jobs in an organized and timely manner.
  • Travels to various cities to supervise installations and dismantling of jobs, for multiple days if necessary.
  • Training preset leads
  • Utilizes simple tools (power drills, hammers, etc.) to complete in house and onsite projects.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma
  • Work Experience:

    2+ years in tradeshow to include 1 year show floor experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications

    Required:

    Valid driver’s license, 3+ years forklift certification +
Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Work a 40+ hour work week with OT and weekends.
  • Ability to read basic building schematics and pull-lists.
  • Ability to setup fabric graphics
  • Ability to use cell phone/computer software’s for submission expenses, payroll and travel
  • Ability to train and lead others to help them to complete similar goals.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to hold themselves accountable for all aspects of a job and see it through from beginning to end.
  • Ability to problem solve amongst company peer groups without escalation.

  • Travel to trade shows.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Repairs/touch ups of booths components.
  • Build a booth using schematics and pull-lists.
  • Setting up and dismantling of a booth from a clipboard.
  • Apply graphics of various graphics substrates (vinyl/PVC/fabric).
  • Calling out errors/blemishes/scratches as the booth is going up or being crated.
  • Crate:
    • Securely Wrapping/shrink wrapping/packaging finished components and graphic to be transported to show.
  • Travel to show site or events to assist in setup and dismantle.
  • Master driving midsize and large box trucks.
  • Train and mentor present 1 and 2 employees as well as new hires.
  • Work closely with the project management and production team to understand the full scope of the job.
  • Constant communication with the project management and production team during a build at show site.
  • Client facing keeping the client calm and informed, reporting back to team of any issues.
  • Booking travel when need which includes airfare, hotels, and cars through Direct Travel.
  • Submission of per diem and expenses forms in accordance with the account departments processes.
  • Building relationships with clients and show site employees.
  • Take pictures of set booth and complete post show recap to be sent to project managers and marketing.
  • Maintain organization/location of all tools and supplies in designated areas of warehouse.
  • Delivery/pick up from local vendors/clients (materials/supplies).
  • Daily maintenance of cleanup in the warehouse to ensure the safety for all employees.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of the job is to be able to lift heavier components into place (aluminum panels, rolled carpet, Custom counters, etc.).

Key Performance Indicat or (K.P.I.)
  • Improve on the efficiency of setting up booths on show site by improving on the booth assembly process where possible.
  • Communicate more in depth with other city managers and gather all details and special notes related to booths originating from divisions outside your home base.
  • Review any issues with booths set up in the field with the relevant division city manager and offer suggestions on how to reduce in the field assembly problems.
  • Train other Junior I & D crew members in the warehouse and in the field, on the proper methodology of booth assembly, from the laying of electric and carpeting, to the finished assembly and hand off to the client.
