Senior Construction Estimator
Location: Fairfield, OH
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $95k-$110k/yr
Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate cost estimates for site development, utility, concrete, asphalt, and heavy civil construction projects using plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Develop and assemble bids utilizing estimating software while ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
- Solicit, review, and organize material and subcontractor quotations to support complete project pricing.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, discrepancies, and value‑engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve questions and clarify project requirements.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, tracking deadlines, quote coverage, bid status, and outstanding information.
- Support project turnover by preparing budgets, schedules, bid documentation, and job files for project management and field teams.
- Minimum 10 years of construction estimating experience required.
- Experience estimating site development, utility, concrete, asphalt, or heavy civil construction projects preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, scopes of work, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software and computerized takeoff systems.
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, production rates, and pricing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
