Senior Construction Estimator

Location: Fairfield, OH

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95k-$110k/yr

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for site development, utility, concrete, asphalt, and heavy civil construction projects using plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Develop and assemble bids utilizing estimating software while ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Solicit, review, and organize material and subcontractor quotations to support complete project pricing.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, discrepancies, and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve questions and clarify project requirements.
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously, tracking deadlines, quote coverage, bid status, and outstanding information.
  • Support project turnover by preparing budgets, schedules, bid documentation, and job files for project management and field teams.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of construction estimating experience required.
  • Experience estimating site development, utility, concrete, asphalt, or heavy civil construction projects preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, scopes of work, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and computerized takeoff systems.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, production rates, and pricing.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
