Job Description
Teacher - Math, 1 FTE position within Lakota Local School District.
Role SummaryThe Junior High Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, developmentally appropriate, and content‑rich instruction to students in grades 7‑8. The teacher supports student growth across academic, social, and emotional domains while fostering a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate, and content‑rich instruction.
- Support student growth across academic, social, and emotional domains.
- Design and implement lessons aligned with Ohio Learning Standards.
- Differentiates instruction for diverse learners.
- Facilitate critical thinking, problem‑solving, and personal development.
- Bachelor's degree in Education.
- Valid Ohio 4‑9 or 7‑12 Mathematics teaching license.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff.
- Effective classroom management strategies that promote engagement and productivity.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction and assessment.
- Adaptability in adjusting instruction to meet student needs and learning styles.
7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year calendar.
