Educational Assistant (Part‑Time) – Compass Elementary

One position available – two (2) hours per day for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Under the direction of the Principal or designee, the employee assists in the cafeteria and at recess.

Beginning hourly rate: $17.37 per hour, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW).
• Meet one of the following criteria:
• Hold an Associate's degree or higher.
• Have taken forty‑eight semester hours of college coursework.
• Take a (free) Paraprofessional exam.

Individuals offered a position will be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the background check, based on the discretion of the Board of Education, will preclude an individual from employment with Fairfield City School District.

Any person who knowingly makes a false statement is guilty of falsification under section 2921.13 of the Revised Code, which is a misdemeanor of the first degree.
