* Develop new heating and cooling systems, with a strong focus on hydronics and heat transfer performance.
* Conduct detailed design reviews with safety, manufacturing, service, project management, and other internal teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and maintainability.
* Create detailed component designs and documentation and provide these to manufacturing to support accurate and timely builds.
* Design with continuous improvement in mind, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, serviceability, and overall product cost-effectiveness.
* Create and maintain bills of materials and work closely with operations to ensure accurate ordering and availability of required items.
* Develop standardized procedural documents to streamline processes and support consistent specification and improvement of equipment.
* Interface with the manufacturing department to efficiently design, specify, and troubleshoot production issues related to air compressor and cooling systems.
* Collaborate with the sales department and installation team to correctly specify and design solutions that meet customer requirements and application needs.
* Partner with the service department to design products that improve serviceability, ease of maintenance, and long-term reliability.
* Support the introduction of cooling systems on top of air compressed systems by serving as the primary designer for these new integrated solutions.
Essential Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* At least 3 years of hydronics design experience, including practical application of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
* Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals related to compressors, cooling systems, and heat transfer.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing, safety, service, sales, project management, and operations teams.
* Capability to prepare bills of materials and technical documentation to support production and procurement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for designing and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
* Effective communication skills to present designs, lead design reviews, and translate technical requirements across departments.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
