Schneider Electric is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer Intern to join our manufacturing team in Fairfield, Ohio location for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a part-time and onsite so the ideal candidate will be located in the general area. No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.
This is a great opportunity for a Junior or Senior engineering student who is curious, eager to learn, and interested in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering. You will work closely with Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, and Production teams to support new production line implementations, quality documentation, process improvements, and day-to-day manufacturing activities.
What do you get to do in this position?- Support new production line setup and implementation projects from a quality perspective.
- Create, update, and maintain quality documentation and manufacturing records.
- Develop and update work instructions to support production processes.
- Help establish and maintain production quality alerts and communicate quality information to production teams.
- Help interpret and communicate work instructions and quality requirements to operators.
- Support quality improvement and continuous improvement projects
. - Work with Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations teams to identify and address quality and process issues.
- Participate in process reviews, audits, and other quality-related activities.
- Assist with analyzing quality data and identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce defects, and improve overall manufacturing performance.
- Support production evolutions, process changes, and implementation activities.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and provide updates to team members and leadership.
What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field
. - Junior or Senior standing preferred.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, quality, product engineering, or process improvement
. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable asking questions and working collaboratively with others.
- Ability to take ownership of assignments and work independently when needed.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fully onsite manufacturing environment
. - Previous internship or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field
