Job SummaryThe Radiation Therapist is responsible for safely and accurately administering radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist and Chief Radiation Therapist.
The nation’s largest independent oncology practices and a regional leader in adult cancer treatment, offering comprehensive oncology services including Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Blood & Marrow Transplant, Breast Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Neuro-Oncology, Clinical Trials, and Cancer Genetics.
Key Responsibilities- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely
- Position patients precisely to ensure correct radiation delivery
- Maintain accurate patient treatment documentation within EMR systems
- Interpret computerized treatment plans
- Assist with treatment scheduling and billing processes
- Fabricate custom molds and treatment blocks when applicable
- Perform simple MU calculations accurately
- Participate in training and clinical instruction for students and new staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program
- ARRT certification required
- Valid state Radiation Therapy license required
- 0-3 years of Radiation Therapist experience accepted
- Clinical oncology office environment
- Frequent interaction with physicians, staff, and patients
- Travel may be required up to approximately 70% of the workweek
- Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
- Shift: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
- Pay Range: $35 -$45/ Hour (exact rate will be discussed with HR)
