Position: Human Resources Partner
Location: Corporate US Office - Mason,Ohio
Overtime Status: Exempt, Salary
Reports to: US Operations Director
Works closely with: Finance Team, Equipping and Care Team, Operations Team, Human Resource managers internationally, Site Directors
Position SummaryThe Human Resources Partner supports staff by creating clear, consistent HR processes, policies, and benefits that allow them to thrive in their work and have deep impact through their calling. This role serves US employees and partners with international HR teams to strengthen healthy, mission-aligned HR practices across the organization. The Human Resources Partner also ensures legal compliance and risk awareness to protect both staff and the ministry.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Provide leadership and partnership to international Human Resource managers to establish consistent HR standards while allowing for cultural and governmental localization.
- Partner with the Equipping and Care Team on recruitment, selection, and onboarding strategies to attract and retain high-quality staff. This includes participation in panel interviews and other tasks as assigned.
- Conduct regular assessments of the organizational structure and job vacancies to help provide the Human Resources needed for success in each site and department. ? Support initiatives that strengthen staff engagement, retention, and organizational health globally.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure each position has a clear, values-aligned job description with role expectations and goals tied to compensation strategies. ? Manage clear, transparent salary ranges that promote fairness, sustainability, and growth opportunities, supporting long‑term staff retention.
- Lead annual performance review processes designed to support growth, development, and accountability.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to oversee benefit plans and administration for US hires, ensuring alignment with staff needs and organizational sustainability.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies as needed to support clarity, care, and organizational growth.
- Stay current with US Human Resource law through SHRM or other entities. Plan and implement changes necessary due to organizational growth or as needed to ensure legal compliance.
- Identify Human Resource-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the organization and its employees.
- Identify and implement HR systems and processes that improve efficiency, data integrity, and compliance monitoring.
- Regularly review HR practices to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, EEOC guidelines, and other relevant legislation.
- Assist as needed with organizational special events.
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but provides functional leadership and partnership with managers and international HR leaders through collaboration and influence.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. - Preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- 5 or more years of Human Resources experience, preferably with faith‑based non‑profit organizations.
- Cross‑cultural experience is a plus.
- Cross‑cultural knowledge and sensitivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Operate with basic competency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications. ? Ability to learn and adapt to additional HR systems and tools as needed. ? Experience with ADP or other HRIS systems is a plus.
This role is based in an office in Mason, Ohio. The position requires regular interaction with staff and leadership, extensive computer use, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Physical demands are typical of a professional office setting, including sitting or standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
