Ready To
- collaborate with our Reserving team to enhance our reinsurance assumed reserving framework and processes
- conduct studies and contribute to special projects designed to enhance our capital-modeling and risk analysis capabilities
- collaborate with our pricing actuaries, underwriters, and product managers to add capacity for profitably growing our large account business
- provide thought leadership regarding appropriate and effective uses of risk models for evaluating capital adequacy, testing business plans, making reinsurance purchase decisions, managing property catastrophe exposures, and planning premium growth
- complete other relevant work assignments and research projects of a risk modeling nature as directed by the Chief Actuary and his management team
- present findings to Executive, Line, and PARM managers
- strong oral and written communication skills
- solve problems systematically and creatively
- work both independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in actuarial software and statistical tools
- demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- strong analytical skills
- a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
- an advanced degree in a technical field (preferred)
- being FCAS certified (preferred)
- substantive prior risk modeling work, reserving, and multiline pricing experience
- supervisory experience (preferred)
