Responsibilities
- Perform production welding following standardized procedures and quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints and dimensional layouts to fabricate components accurately.
- Weld using TIG, GMAW (MIG), and Flux Core processes across multiple materials.
- Set up welding equipment based on material type and thickness.
- Conduct visual weld inspections to identify defects such as porosity or undercut.
- Perform material preparation including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
- Troubleshoot weld issues and identify root causes of defects
. - Assist in fixture design and resolving fit-up challenges
. - Maintain production standards while producing consistent, high-quality welds.
- Grind and blend welds for finished product quality and appearance.
